Online National Level Speech Competition organized by Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club.

Addiction to narcotic drugs has now been recognized as a global threat to mankind. The Silent Terrorism of Drug Abuse destroys the most valuable asset of a society, its youth. Therefore, in order to break this cycle of drugs and sensitize the youth, Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club of Government College for Women, Hisar organized an “Online National Level Speech Competition” on 26.06.2021 on the occasion of “International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking”. The aim of this competition was to raise awareness regarding the menace of drugs and provide a platform to the students of various colleges and universities pan India to present their valuable thoughts on the topic “Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life”. A total of 89 students registered for the competition and presented their thoughts in an effective manner using the power of online media tools. After a careful deliberation and analysis of various parameters such as body language, theme, idea, presentation, visual appeal etc., 3 winners were selected. The details of the winners are as under:- First-Harsh Thakur of B.A. 1st Year of Government Degree College, Sanjauli, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, Second-Archana Devi of B.A. 1st Year of Government Degree College, Jukhala, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, Third-Shubham Kumar Sharma of B.Sc. C.S. 1st Year of C.R.M. Jat College, Hisar, Haryana.
