“Share your own story” Competition organized by Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club

In continuation with the celebration of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” and to commemorate World Red Cross Day, the Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club of Government College for Women organized a competition titled “Share your own story” on 9.5.2022. The motive behind the competition was to emphasize the importance of mental health in conjunction with physical health. The theme of the event was to discuss the struggles and motivational stories of girl students, talk about anxiety and depression and end the stigma associated with mental health. A total of 14 students participated and poured their hearts out on such sensitive issues as sexual harassment, physical assault, anxiety, depression, loss of loved ones, financial struggles, etc. Students showed extreme confidence, strength and resilience in communicating their stories.
The best three stories were rewarded with cash prizes. First- Priyanka of Com-III, Second- Anjali of BCom-I, Third- Himani of MCom-I.
