Blood Donation Camp Organized by Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club

A Blood Donation camp was organized at Government College for Women, Hisar on 24.01.2024 under the joint aegis of Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club, Women's Cell, and Physical Education Department. The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Principal Ramesh Arya. The special guest on this occasion was Sh. Nihal Singh Saini, founder Dayitav foundation. He motivated the students to donate blood. For the blood donation camp, the team of Maharaja Agrasen Medical College reached the college under the leadership of Dr. Ajay Kochhar. Principal Dr. Ramesh Arya said that blood donation is a great donation. Organizing the camp is a matter of joy and pride for us and the college will continue to organize similar blood donation camps in the future also. Doctors participating in the camp said that people have this misconception that donating blood causes weakness in the body.Donating blood does not cause any weakness, rather donating blood creates new blood which is very beneficial for health. Therefore, everyone should donate blood. Convener of Red Ribbon Club Dr. Anita Taneja also motivated the students to donate blood with noble causes. This helps the needy and also keeps the body healthy. Students and staff members participated enthusiastically in this camp. 36 units of blood were collected in the camp. Head of Department of Physical Education Dr. Eliza Kundu, Convenor of Women's Cell Dr. Neelam Kumari, Convenor of Red Cross and Red Ribbon Dr. Anita Taneja, Dr. Randhir, Manjulata, Satish Panu, Arju and other staff members were present in the blood donation camp.
