An awareness lecture on HIV/AIDS was organized on 12.04.2024. The resource person of the day was Ms. Shaina, member of the Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club. She informed the students about the causes likeHIV is spread from the body fluids of an infected person, including blood only. It can also spread from a mother to her baby. She also described that the infection progressively weakens the immune system with fever, headache, sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, weight loss, diarrhea, and cough. There are chances of diseases like tuberculosis, infections, and some cancer due to AIDS. There is no cure for HIV infection. She also elaborated on the social attitude towards HIV/AIDS patients. This session was very informative and useful for students. 45 students participated in this activity with full of enthusiasm.
